I know you guys are losing faith with me, but please don’t lose it too much. I promise things will get better around here soon. My power cable to my laptop shorted out and I had to order a new one. Which means that I am SOL until I get it sometime next week. I know you are frustrated, as am I. I started a new job last week and it’s been nothing but mayhem on my end all compiling to why there hasn’t been any updates, not an excuse I know, but it is an explanation. So we are kind of on a standstill until I get my new power cord. Everything is on my laptop. I finally pried my husband’s away from him so I could give you this update, but he has nothing I need to be able to do an official update so please understand. As soon as I get my new cord we will be back in business! Until then, you may take 4 cards of choice for being so patient and no they don’t have to be from different decks. We aren’t going anywhere so don’t worry, we’re just a little slow moving :/

Hey guys! Sorry this update is late, but since we are in the prejoining stages, there really isn’t a set time I am updating. It comes in spurts. Once we open I am leaning towards updating on Thursdays, as this is my day off and I will have more time to get things done. What does everyone think about a Thursday update? I know a lot of tcgs update on Mondays so Thursday is a little odd, but sometimes, odd is good. I am going to make an effort to start keeping track of masters, level ups, new members and such so that I can post them in the update. For now I keep forgetting and I know I do not have an accurate account of who has done what so that will start with the next update. Also, if you find things not working or broken or messed up in any way, let me know! I can’t fix them if I don’t know they are broken I want to get the bugs worked out so lemme know if something is goofed up.

I have noticed that some people already have their lottery cards up in the forums. You will have until the second week after we’ve opened to get your cards up so that I know everyone who is playing. I am trying to get things situated to open soon so we’ll keep accepting cards for a little while. Also in the forums, I have added everyone’s rewards that have helped in donating things. This is a good way to get cards so you may want to consider checking into it. If I have missed you please let me know and I will get it updated. Everything has been updated in the forums all activities are in their second week. If you are a prejoiner and you have not submitted an image for the prejoin deck please do so! I want to be able to make this special deck soon so you all can collect it.

I am still trying to add games and things to the different events and to the interactive section. If there is something in particular that you would like to see please let me know. I will be adding puzzle, crosswords, and a word search game along with a guess the number game and a couple others. If you have any great ideas let me know, I am always interested! If you run a tcg and would like to be affiliates, please fill out a form! I would love to have more active affiliates!

Last week I told you to all send in wishes and I would make sure they all came true. Well they all WILL come true, just not all with this update. So without further ado:

Hey guys! We have officially hit 16 members! How cool is that? I’ll tell you, it’s pretty damn cool! In honor of this I am going to extend prejoining till we get 20 members, so we still have room for 4 more prejoiners! Woo Hoo! You’ll notice that things are being added slowly to the site. I’m adding new cards, games, etc. I added a bunch of new games the other day so check those out. I will probably not update existing games during the prejoin period, I am still trying to figure out how to do the automatic updater so we’ll see how that goes. I will be adding new ones, but not updating until we officially open.

Happy 4th of July! I’m celebrating a day early because my town is doing the fireworks tonight instead of tomorrow so we’re going to have a pizza picnic down by the river! So very excited. This is the first year in THREE years that my husband has had a shift at work early enough so that he could go with me!! SO exciting. Because of this, you may take one card from the Forth of July Holiday deck! You may also take the special holiday event card.

It’s amazing that we already have 11 members! I know the sidebar says 12, but Aurora is my testing member. I will delete it once we officially open and I no longer need to test things. Speaking of things that have to be worked out, Fina has brought up a really good problems. lol. When Caboodle was open before Member cards counted as a worth of 1. This is no longer the case. New member cards are not worth anything. If you would like to keep your member cards for show, this is fine, but their worth becomes zero. If you email me and tell me how many old member cards you have I will replace them with random cards so that you do not lose your card worths. Does this make sense? Old member cards will also not count as part of mastering a member card deck. I hope this makes sense.

Yup, you read the headline right. Caboodle is officially open for prejoin. It’s been a LOOOONG time coming. I would like to publically thank Jasmine for EVERYTHING, lol, she’s pretty amazing, but you all already knew that, I want to think Fina and Catherine for being the best darn devoted members and doing so much to get Caboodle back up and running. I couldn’t have done it without them. I will be posting all your awards soon girlies!

To Old Members – If you still have your trade post, cards, logs etc, you may keep them and start from where you left off instead of having to start all the way over. Simply rejoin the game, complete with a fancy new starter pack, and I will adjust your level to where it should be. Just let me know that you are a returning member.

New members, I hope you will enjoy Caboodle. I am a pretty easy going owner and I am always open to thoughts, suggestions, errors and all other things closely related to Caboodle. Be sure to join the new forums. We have completely moved off of everything that Christina hosted onto more reliable hosting.

I am slowly adding games and additional things to the two different events going on. So continue to keep checking back here to see what all is coming! So glad to be open! Yay! Prejoiners may take cards from all updated until we are officially open. We will remain in the prejoining phase until we get to 15 members. Once we have 15 we will open for business!

Before we open I have a few things that need to be done around here. I am planning to promote the site to start taking members by the 1st of July. I would really like to be ready by then so I will try to keep an up to date list of what is still needing to be done so that we can begin!

Things to do before Opening for Prejoin!
1) Get the Forums completely moved to the new one and get them ready to open.
a) Get the link posted so everyone knows the site moved.
b) Add a place for members to submit for prejoin deck.
c) Add prejoining info and freebies.
d) Get donation list updated and posted so people can donate.
e) Make an upcoming deck forum and suggested deck form where people can claim donations.
2) Come up with a catchy and cool prejoin event so that people can see what Caboodle’s all about.
3) Set up staff pay for rewards for Fina and Catherine for all their hard work in getting Caboodle back up and running.
4) Come up with a set of weekly games and a set of monthly games.
a) Figure out how to do the weekly updater.
b) Make up different puzzle images of each of the categories for the never ending monthly puzzle.
5) Find some affiliates.
6) Make Layout cards and other Opening event cards.
7) Double check all forms and such.
a) Fix more than one choice card problem on level up and master forms.

Things are changing around here, new host, new forums, new tcg. I plan to open for prejoin on July 1st. If you have questions, thoughts, suggestions, find errors, or anything else, just post a comment and let me know! I’m open to any and all suggestions!
